Blue Mountains BBQ Blast ...SATURDAY 08/11/08 ... Windsor to Lithgow

We are on a bit of a roll now, so time for another cruise.

Had a bit of a chat and it seems people are keen on a BBQ somewhere around Lithgow.

Thanks to Lunix, that BBQ is at Lake Lyell, a few kays from Lithgow.

The run will be from Windsor, meet point opposite the RAAF, it will commence as follows:

approx 10am DEPART from the meet point on Windsor/Richmond Road.

Travel via Bells of Road to the Darling Causeway where we will peel off and got to Mt Vic

& do the run into Lithgow

where we will head to Lake Lyell for a BBQ and what-not.

BBQ IS BYO
I'll bring some butter/oil and utensils

A few of the guys mentioned heading home via GWH to hit up the skate park at Blaxland, feel free to head that way if you are keen.
Traffic can be quite heavy heading back that direction due to the road-works and popularity of the mountains of a weekend.

Lake Lyell: I will do a sighting run and see where the best place for a bbq.


There is an observation deck and parking just after the wall, so some cool pic opportunities, and I think the main BBQ area is up the top left of the pic with the boat ramp:

Kurmond as you mentioned, the 'last stop' up past Bell, one in Lithgw & a few on the way east over the mountains back towards Penrith on the GWH.

I've crawled from Blackheath to Leura 

With the roadworks at the moment going anywhere between Faulconbridge and Blackheath on a Sunday can take over an hour EASY
